Cootamundra Oilseeds proudly holds the distinction of being the pioneering oil crushing plant in Australia to incorporate renewable solar energy, with a capacity of 568kWp, alongside its conventional electricity supply for current plant operations.
By harnessing the power of 568kWp of solar energy, Cootamundra Oilseeds actively reduces its carbon footprint, effectively abating an average of 55.3 metric tons of CO2 emissions per month.
In line with its commitment to sustainable practices, Cootamundra Oilseeds is actively pursuing its goal of transitioning the entire oilseed crushing plant to run on renewable energy. This entails a combination of solar power and biodiesel for power generation, exemplifying our dedication to both environmental stewardship and energy innovation.
